Integrity patterns

Statistical patterns in published procurement, shown in aggregate and against national baselines. A pattern is a reason to look closer, never a finding of wrongdoing: thin data, specialist markets and honest logistics produce the same shapes.

Capability coherence

Firms that diversify legitimately tend to win categories that sit close on the capability map. Coherence is the proximity-weighted average across a firm's won categories: high means connected capabilities, low means wins scattered across unrelated work. Only the distribution is published; no firm is named on this page.

2 613 multi-category firms scoredmedian 0.063 of 508 material firms flagged for review

Flag rule, stated in full: coherence below the 10th percentile (0.015) with at least 5 awards across at least 3 map categories. A flag is a statistical outlier, nothing more; publishing flagged names would require a review process and right of reply, and is deliberately not done.

Price vs category norm

Each usable award value compared with its category's bounded median (13 262 awards with usable values). 29.1% land at 5 times the category norm or more; scope and project size explain most large ratios.

Buyer-level observations

Buying entities are organs of state and are named. For buyers with 20 or more published awards, the largest supplier is named too, as a restatement of the public record with right of reply; no analytic flag is ever attached to a name. National baselines: 21% of awards land in the January-March financial-year-end quarter, 12% of tenders were advertised for under a week, and 29.1% of usable values are 5x their category norm. Cells marked · had too little volume to score.

Showing the 60 most active matches. Amber marks a share at least 1.75x the national baseline: context before conclusions - small buyers, single projects and seasonal mandates all move these numbers. Top-firm names restate the public award record for buyers with 20+ awards; nothing analytic is attached to any name. Right of reply →
